Procurement Manager Technical Operations (Fixed-Term, 18 Months)

About the role

Novartis is hiring a Procurement Manager for Technical Operations in Prague, Czech Republic, on a fixed-term contract of 18 months. The role manages several indirect categories across one or more countries and delivers sourcing and value creation initiatives aligned with the Annual Category Plan, focusing on cost reduction, demand management, innovation, risk management, contracting, supplier performance and organisational change. Relocation support is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Implement procurement strategies and sourcing plans for assigned categories and sites, aligned with business needs and company objectives.
• Lead Source to Contracting projects and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, process compliance and value creation targets.
• Identify sourcing opportunities, evaluate suppliers and support supplier selection, commercial decisions and procurement planning.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor and report supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Gather stakeholder and supplier feedback, track procurement metrics and report regularly on category activities.
• Lead contract negotiations and ensure contracts are implemented in line with compliance and legal requirements.
• Address supplier performance issues, mitigate supply risks and escalate product quality, technical or compliance concerns.

Required profile

• Ability to lead sourcing and contracting projects and manage supplier relationships.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setting in Prague.
