Product Manager - Cloudera Kubernetes

About the role

Cloudera is looking for an experienced Product Manager to own the strategy, on-boarding and delivery of its internal Cloudera Distribution of Kubernetes (CDK). The role leads scalable deployments of CDK across public cloud, private cloud and air-gapped environments, and drives the foundational Kubernetes infrastructure behind Cloudera's data workloads, including integration with platform components such as Cloudera Cloud Factory. It sits in the team driving innovation for the next-generation cloud data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the product roadmap for the Cloudera Distribution of Kubernetes.
• Translate customer needs and market opportunities into product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
• Ensure on-boarding, lifecycle management and scalable deployments of CDK across public cloud, private cloud and air-gapped environments.
• Work with engineering, design and other teams to integrate CDK with core platform services for a seamless compute and storage experience.
• Lead the product lifecycle from concept to launch and post-launch optimization, keeping the distribution highly available, scalable, secure and CNCF-conformant.
• Champion product adoption and customer success through advocacy and engagement with enterprise customers and platform engineering partners.
• Analyze platform performance and deployment metrics to drive infrastructure optimization and continuous improvement.
• Stay current with CNCF ecosystem trends, data platform architectures and best practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of product management experience focused on Kubernetes, container orchestration and data platforms.
• Proven track record of launching and managing enterprise-grade infrastructure or software products.
• Deep understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem and how to simplify complex B2B infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain distributed systems to diverse audiences.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a customer-centric approach.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid architectures and air-gapped deployments.
• Agile development methodology.
• Nice to have: experience building or managing a custom internal Kubernetes distribution, familiarity with open-source security, compute and data technologies, and experience with regulated industries and compliance such as FedRAMP, GDPR and CCPA.
