Scrum Master

About the role

Barclays is looking for a Scrum Master to join its Prague office. The role facilitates and supports Agile teams by ensuring they follow Scrum principles, removes obstacles, promotes collaboration and acts as a bridge between the team and external stakeholders. The position is at Assistant Vice President level.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum events so they are positive, productive and within their timebox
• Support iteration execution, maintain backlog refinement and iterate on stakeholder feedback
• Identify and remove impediments, escalate risks and protect the team from interruptions
• Use metrics to make work visible and optimise team flow
• Coach Agile team attributes, encourage stakeholder collaboration and deputise in the moment leadership
• Build trust with business stakeholders, product teams and vendors
• Ensure data quality and represent the team at governance forums where applicable

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile delivery teams in complex technology or change environments
• Experience in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, including PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt and ART Sync
• Ability to coach teams through Agile transformations and organisational change
• Ability to analyse delivery data and influence stakeholders

Required skills

• Facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments and managing dependencies
• Agile metrics and flow-based measures
• Highly valued: SAFe Scrum Master certification, ART experience, knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and test automation
