Senior AME Equipment Engineer - JIT Seating Project

About the role

Lear is looking for a Senior AME Equipment Engineer to join its AME team for the JIT Seating Operations project in EMEA, focused on the industrialization of two projects. The role covers everything from initial design and development through equipment specification, procurement and installation/commissioning, to supporting SOP and launch.

Key responsibilities

• Support plant equipment and purchasing with the AME team and central purchasing: facility equipment lists, equipment specifications, supplier selection meetings, purchase orders and supplier progress meetings
• Carry out DFMEA of equipment
• Manage project delivery to meet customer milestones, including PAR support, process book revisions and timing plan updates
• Run internal launch readiness reviews
• Support facilities development, including architectural and building layout input from an equipment and installation perspective with the Facilities department

Required profile

• Proven experience in automotive assembly manufacturing processes
• Hands-on experience installing, commissioning and troubleshooting industrial equipment
• Strong background with production lines, conveyors and finished goods flow
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
• Fluent English, spoken and written

Required skills

• Automation systems, especially TIA Portal and Siemens platforms
• ABB robotics
• Vision systems (Keyence / Cognex)
• Nice to have: exposure to virtual commissioning tools and methodologies
