Senior Backend Engineer, Store

About the role

Apify is building the largest AI tools marketplace. As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Publishers team you will create and improve the core services that let creators publish, monetize and grow their Actors on the Apify Store.

Key responsibilities

• Own features and projects from discovery through production, delivering impact for creators.
• Build and maintain backend systems for Actor monetization, analytics, review, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate in a small cross‑functional team, ship in two‑week sprints and deploy multiple times per day.
• Contribute to open‑source components and help improve the Apify platform used daily by builders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building backend systems and APIs.
• Strong debugging skills in TypeScript/Node.js or ability to learn TypeScript quickly.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools and a drive to stay current with AI trends.
• Experiment‑driven, collaborative mindset with good English communication.
