Senior Data Analyst

About the role

PwC's Technology Consulting team in Prague is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join its Data Management team, led by Tomáš Karas, Director. You will help clients unlock the value of their data through modern data platforms, analytics, reporting and transformation projects, working end-to-end from analysis and design through implementation and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build data models that support scalable and reliable analytics.
• Define data transformation logic and business rules across complex data pipelines.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards and visualizations that support decision-making.
• Prepare functional and technical solution designs for data and analytics projects.
• Work with large datasets, identify business insights, ensure data quality and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders and turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts and support their professional development.
• Promote data quality, governance and continuous improvement across engagements.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, data management, BI or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Client-facing mindset with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
• Nice to have: experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP); understanding of Data Lakehouse or Data Mesh; master data management experience; proven delivery across the full project lifecycle; leadership of junior team members; background in banking, financial services or insurance.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, data quality and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python or R.
