Senior Data Scientist – Personalization & Predictions

About the role

Join Bloomreach's Artificial Intelligence team to own the algorithmic core of the Loomi platform, driving personalization across 1,400+ global brands. You will work with terabyte‑scale behavioural data to build models that directly impact business metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Translate vague business questions into measurable data problems and define evaluation metrics.
• Develop and evaluate ML models for churn prediction, contextual bandits, autosegmentation, uplift and incrementality at scale using BigQuery and Databricks.
• Design offline metrics, back‑tests and A/B experiments to validate model performance before production.
• Collaborate with ML Engineering to hand off models with clear documentation and production requirements.
• Communicate findings and impact to product, engineering leadership and occasionally customers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building production ML models used by others.
• Strong Python programming and advanced SQL skills.
• Solid grounding in classical ML (tree‑based models, regression, classification, clustering).
• Proven expertise in experiment design and evaluation of causal impact.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, specifically GCP (BigQuery) and Databricks.
• Quantitative degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
