Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Bloomreach is expanding its Infrastructure team and is looking for a DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer. The team runs and maintains Bloomreach Engagement core infrastructure on Google Cloud, supporting security, high availability, cost and scalability, and supports developers by reviewing designs and validating performance and availability. The role is full-time, with the option to work from home or one of the Central Europe offices (Bratislava, Brno or Prague).

Key responsibilities

• Work with other engineering teams to design sustainable infrastructure, microservice solutions and a robust production environment.
• Automate tools and infrastructure to reduce manual work.
• Monitor applications and take part in an on-call rotation as required.
• Independently own maintenance and project tasks from specification through to production, using AI assistants while keeping full understanding and accountability for what is shipped.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of production experience.
• Ability to deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters 24x7, understanding what happens behind the scenes.
• Experience configuring pod/container security contexts, network policies, RBAC, pod affinity, host paths, disruption budgets, priority classes and node taints.
• Experience analyzing resource usage and tuning requests/limits, HPAs and VPAs.
• Hands-on experience upgrading Kubernetes cluster versions without downtime.
• Experience writing Terraform modules with interconnected resources, and setting up monitoring and alerts (Grafana and Prometheus preferred).
• Experience with DevOps, orchestration, configuration management and CI/CD, including GitLab, Ansible and Docker.
• Experience onboarding and training new team members.

• Salary range of 1,300,000 to 1,630,000 EUR, adjusted for skills, location and experience.
