Senior Manager, FDE/Delivery & Operations Lead, A2O
pwc · Prague
Job description
About the role
A2O, part of PwC Czech Republic and operating within the xTG / Financial Crime practice, is looking for a Senior Manager who acts as both Delivery & Operations Lead and FDE. The role owns the flagship client engagements and the end-to-end FDE bench, covering technical execution, staffing readiness and the operational health of the teams. It is a hands-on leadership position, not a design-and-hand-off role.
Key responsibilities
- Lead as tech lead / FDE on one to two flagship accounts, hands-on through the full build, and own the PoC-to-production transition using the auditability-as-architecture methodology.
- Own delivery quality gates and evaluation-framework adherence, escalate early when builds drift off scope or timeline, and keep a live view of what is shipping.
- Decide trade-offs between shipping now and building properly, and allocate the shared engineering pool for active client work.
- Own the FDE bench: sourcing, onboarding, upskilling and retention, forecast resourcing needs, track margin per engagement, and integrate reusable accelerators into live engagements.
- Provide technical due diligence and solution design input on RFPs and represent A2O's delivery credibility in client-facing pursuit conversations.
Required profile
- 8-10 years of professional experience, including 3-5 years delivering software, IT, AI/ML or data products into production in a regulated or large enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated technical leadership of multidisciplinary data or AI teams, including staffing, allocation or management of a bench or resourcing pool.
- Confidence owning operational metrics such as resourcing forecasts, engagement margin and bench utilisation.
- Advanced English and a direct communication style.
Required skills
- Lakehouse and streaming or event-driven architectures, RAG and agentic AI systems, vector databases, MLOps/LLMOps and DataOps.
- Experience with the IT software development lifecycle evolving toward Agentic AI lifecycle practices.
- Nice to have: Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, BigQuery, MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, model serving, GDPR, EU AI Act, DORA or AMLR, and PSM, PSPO or equivalent Agile, Scrum or SAFe credentials.
What we offer
- Professional growth matched to ambition and pace, with training, a buddy programme, regular feedback and coaching.
- Equal-pay certification, fair pay with no gaps, and a flexible benefits programme with 55,000 points.
- 35 days of paid time off, including well-being days, and one paid volunteering day per year.
- Work from an international office, social events and Away Days.
