Senior Sales Executive – Payments & Banking

About the role

FIS is looking for an experienced sales professional to drive new business growth across Central and Eastern Europe. The role focuses on building relationships with banks and financial institutions, identifying new opportunities and delivering complex solution sales. It is a high-impact hunter role requiring a strong understanding of the payments and banking landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities with banks and financial institutions across Central and Eastern Europe.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision makers in target accounts.
• Lead complex sales engagements from prospecting through contract negotiation and closure.
• Collaborate with product, solution consulting, delivery and executive stakeholders to develop customer solutions and proposals.
• Maintain a robust pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasting.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements and competitive activity in the banking and payments industry.
• Represent the organisation at customer meetings, industry events and conferences.

Required profile

• Extensive enterprise sales experience in payments, banking technology, fintech or financial services.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding new business sales targets.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and contract negotiations.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage C-suite and senior business leaders.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred experience

• Selling card issuing, payment processing or banking technology solutions.
• Established network within banks and financial institutions across Central and Eastern Europe.
• Additional regional languages such as Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian or German.
• Experience in a matrixed global organisation.
• Knowledge of payment modernisation, card programme management and banking operations.
