Meeting Planner

About the role

Amex GBT is seeking a Meeting Planner to collaborate with clients and deliver successful meeting programs. You will manage the full event lifecycle from contract execution to final billing while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead coordination and implementation of program logistics to achieve impact.
• Research and manage vendor relationships, ensuring high‑quality selections and legally protective contracts.
• Control program costs, identify savings, review invoices, and handle client payment requirements.
• Manage online registration platforms and communicate with attendees.
• Coordinate venue staff, vendor performance, and act as a resource for event staff.
• Conduct post‑event debriefs and provide comprehensive briefing reports.
• Develop service recovery plans and ensure improvement goals are met.
• Maintain knowledge of technology solutions such as Cvent.

Required profile

• Passionate about project, meetings, and client management.
• Experience working within budgets.
• Strong prioritization and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to travel internationally and domestically up to 25% of the time.
