Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Fuse Team

About the role

Bloomreach is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead reliability for the Fuse team, which powers item data management across its AI‑driven personalization platform. You will work with backend engineers, QA, product and engineering management to make complex data pipelines observable, scalable and safe to operate.

Key responsibilities

• Own and improve reliability, observability and error‑budget management for Fuse services, APIs, queues, storage and synchronization pipelines.
• Build end‑to‑end dashboards, alerts and health views using Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, PagerDuty and GCP tooling.
• Enhance availability and scalability of catalog storage across PostgreSQL/Cloud SQL, Bigtable, Elasticsearch, GCS and Kafka.
• Define and automate data‑consistency checks, capacity planning and autoscaling based on telemetry.
• Maintain Kubernetes configurations, CI/CD pipelines and progressive rollout automation for safe releases.
• Participate in L3/on‑call rotation, lead incident investigations and create operational tooling for job tracing and queue inspection.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in site reliability or production engineering for distributed data platforms.
• Ability to turn ambiguous operational problems into measurable improvements with minimal guidance.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams and drive blameless incident reviews.
