Software Solution Architect – Warehouse Solutions

About the role

FORTNA is looking for a Software Solution Architect to act as the functional and operational SME for warehouse software solutions. You will bridge warehouse operations and software functionality, ensuring solutions meet real‑world requirements from design through go‑live.

Key responsibilities

• Lead software workshops, testing, commissioning and go‑live activities as the primary SME.
• Translate warehouse processes into software requirements, workflows and test scenarios.
• Guide QA, integration testing and commissioning teams on expected system behavior.
• Collaborate with product, development, controls and operations teams to align capabilities with customer expectations.
• Support end‑to‑end validation, including integrations with WMS, WCS, automation and robotics.
• Participate in troubleshooting and provide technical guidance during commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with warehouse software solutions or supply‑chain execution systems.
• Strong understanding of warehouse workflows, fulfillment and distribution center processes.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with large‑scale warehouse implementations and Agile methodologies.

Required skills

• Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Automation technologies such as AutoStore, ASRS, conveyors, sortation, robotics.
• Programming languages and technologies: Java.NET, Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, databases.
• Integration of software with automation equipment and material handling systems.
