Sustaining Engineer

About the role

Vertice is looking for a Sustaining Engineer to act as the technical bridge between Support and Engineering. You will own complex customer issues, reproduce problems, analyse system behaviour and determine whether they stem from product defects, configuration gaps or usage patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for Support.
• Reproduce and investigate complex issues using logs, APIs, browser developer tools and data analysis.
• Identify root causes – product bugs, configuration errors, environmental limitations or data anomalies.
• Escalate verified bugs to Engineering with clear, reproducible steps and impact‑based priority.
• Participate in customer calls, provide status updates and validate fixes throughout the issue lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on technical aptitude with experience troubleshooting web‑based applications.
• Ability to work independently, analyse data and communicate findings effectively between Support and Engineering teams.
• Comfortable handling complex, multi‑disciplinary problems and driving them to resolution.
