Business Development Executive

About the role

Alchimica, a Czech family‑owned company operating in chemicals, pharmaceuticals and food, is seeking a Business Development Executive to grow its B2B customer base in the Food, Feed or Cosmetics sectors. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to order fulfilment, while receiving support from a senior sales colleague.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and actively approach new customers to build your own portfolio.
• Develop existing leads and reactivate dormant accounts.
• Conduct customer meetings, present products and prepare proposals.
• Negotiate commercial terms within agreed authority, with senior support.
• Coordinate product samples, follow up on feedback and convert opportunities into orders.
• Maintain relationships with newly acquired customers and drive repeat business.
• Record accurate customer and opportunity data in the CRM system.
• Attend customer meetings and international trade shows.

Required profile

• Initial B2B sales experience with a focus on customer acquisition.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and follow through consistently.
• Interest in raw materials and ingredients with willingness to develop product knowledge.
• Comfort with sales figures, pricing and margin concepts.
• English proficiency for workplace communication.
• Willingness to travel regularly and a valid Category B driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for daily sales activities.
• Competence in using digital tools for prospecting and reporting.
