Director Area Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations leader to take full responsibility for the nationwide Operations network in the Czech Republic. The role will drive operational excellence, ensure outstanding service quality and support sustainable business performance while shaping the future of our Operations organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Take accountability for operational performance, service quality and business results across the entire network.
• Lead and develop a large multi‑layer management organisation, ensuring clear accountability and succession planning.
• Drive productivity, cost efficiency and operational‑excellence initiatives to support sustainable growth.
• Lead business transformation, organisational effectiveness and network optimisation projects.
• Establish and continuously improve operating standards, performance‑management processes and governance.
• Own operational budgets, workforce planning, resource allocation and overall organisational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale logistics, parcel, transportation or distribution operations with multiple locations.
• Strong track record in operational transformation, organisational effectiveness and performance improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to build, lead and develop high‑performing management teams.
• Experience driving productivity, cost optimisation and operational excellence in a large‑scale environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
