Director of Warehousing Europe

About the role

The Manager of Warehousing, Europe, is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all warehousing operations across multiple European locations. This role ensures the efficient storage, handling, and distribution of automotive aftermarket parts while aligning with the company's strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the management of all warehousing facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives for warehousing that align with broader business goals, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Oversee and mentor warehouse management teams across various locations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Control and optimize warehousing budgets, ensuring cost‑effective operations while meeting service level agreements.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices to improve warehouse management systems, inventory accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
• Ensure all warehouses comply with health and safety regulations, leading initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate closely with supply chain, logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless operations and alignment with business objectives.
• Provide regular reports and insights on warehouse performance, including key metrics, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead key warehousing projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master’s degree with at least 10 years of professional experience.
• Proven track record in senior warehousing or logistics management roles within the automotive aftermarket or a related industry.
• Experience managing multi‑site operations across Europe is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills with the ability to inspire high performance.
• Ability to develop and implement long‑term strategies that align with business objectives.
• Solid understanding of budget management and cost control in a warehousing environment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
