Financial Reporting & Accounting Specialist, Inventory

About the role

Novartis is hiring a Financial Reporting & Accounting Specialist, Inventory, based in Prague, Czech Republic. The role supports accurate financial reporting, maintains robust accounting processes and helps drive continuous improvements. It is a hybrid position; relocation support is not offered, so only apply if you can access the role.

Key responsibilities

• Support general ledger activities and provide timely accounting advice to business stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset records, including assets under construction and depreciation calculations.
• Prepare financial analyses and reports with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Deliver data for internal and external reporting requirements on time.
• Provide first-line support for SAP-related accounting processes and issue resolution.
• Contribute to financial reporting and accounting improvement projects across the organization.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related business discipline.
• Experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting or record-to-report processes.
• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting, depreciation and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, preferably SAP.
• Financial accounting and financial management reporting.

• Base salary range of 580,230 to 1,077,570 CZK, with a possible performance-based bonus.
