Geographic Legal Counsel Specialist

About the role

The Geographic Legal Counsel Specialist provides comprehensive legal support to Accenture’s corporate functions and business teams across multiple jurisdictions. The role focuses on internal policy compliance, risk mitigation, contract execution and may involve people and process management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Understand CORE areas, relevant company policies and develop subject‑matter expertise.
• Liaise directly with internal stakeholders, onshore counsels and the GLN team to address legal issues.
• Identify and suggest process improvements, support tool development and manage SharePoint and communication records.
• Support recruitment, supervise resources, provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members.
• Provide legal advice on compliance matters such as ethics, anti‑corruption, competition law, data privacy, intellectual property and conflicts of interest.
• Flag compliance risks, ensure adherence to global and local policies, and review data‑privacy initiatives.
• Draft corporate documents, board resolutions, manage powers of attorney and maintain entity‑related databases.
• Collaborate with other Accenture legal teams (litigation, employment, tax, acquisitions, contract management) to deliver integrated support.
• Assist in delivering training to Accenture teams on corporate‑function legal matters.

Required profile

• Italian Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in law firms, in‑house counsel roles or legal outsourcing, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements.
• Experience with generic in‑house legal matters such as risk identification, compliance, contracts and legal research.
