IT Operations Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

Vilgain is looking for an IT Operations Specialist to be the first line of support for its teams across the company. You will ensure that devices, networks and communication tools run smoothly, acting proactively to prevent issues before they affect colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain PCs, laptops, projectors and streaming devices at all Vilgain locations.
• Manage and service warehouse and retail hardware such as printers, scanners and other endpoints.
• Administer Windows, Linux and Android systems, including updates and security patches.
• Set up, monitor and troubleshoot VoIP phone systems.
• Create clear technical documentation and user guides, and coordinate with hardware and software vendors.
• Provide on‑site support to colleagues in the Prague office and stores, including after‑hours assistance for critical incidents.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in IT support or operations.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to make independent decisions.
• Patient, empathetic communicator able to assist non‑technical users.
• Fluent in Czech for daily communication and advanced English for documentation and vendor interaction.
• Resilient and flexible, able to prioritize in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Linux and Android environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office and G‑Suite.
• Solid understanding of networking configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on hardware diagnostics and repair skills.
• Experience with VoIP phone setup and maintenance.
