Manufacturing Manager - Food Processing

About the role

Mondelēz International is looking for a Manufacturing Manager for its Opava plant, responsible for the processing and packaging of its snack product lines. The role embeds Lean Manufacturing and Autonomous Maintenance practices, drives continuous improvement and cost reduction, and ensures safety, quality and reliable production.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure employee safety and compliance with Czech safety laws and MDLZ HSE standards across the plant
• Run cost-effective production in line with the Plant Director's plans, meeting targets for productivity, yield, rework, scrap and staffing
• Keep products compliant with HACCP, GMP and safety regulations, lead corrective actions and support HSE programmes
• Drive productivity and continuous improvement projects to reduce conversion costs, working with Business Development, R&D and Quality
• Lead and develop the Manufacturing Leadership Team and act as main interface with HSE, Quality, BD&E, IL6S and Finance
• Own the conversion cost budget, track conversion KPIs and forecast capacity and workforce needs
• Plan production output, adjust it with labour planning and contingency plans, and oversee equipment maintenance under IL6S principles
• Manage targeted stock levels, DBNR and CTS in line with the central HUB

Required profile

• University degree in Manufacturing or Engineering, or comparable background preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in food manufacturing
• Strong people management and communication skills
• Good knowledge of manufacturing and lean processes
