Part-Time IT Support Specialist Prague

About the role

Devoteam, a technology consulting firm specialising in cloud, data, cybersecurity and AI, is looking for a proactive and reliable Junior IT Support Specialist to join its Prague internal IT team on a part-time basis. You will be the main point of contact for onsite user support in the Prague offices, keeping employees, meeting rooms and office equipment running smoothly. Flexible working hours make it suitable for people combining IT practice with studies, freelance projects or other commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite user support across the Prague offices as the go-to technical resource for colleagues.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot user hardware such as laptops, mobile phones, office printers, projectors and peripherals.
• Set up, monitor and maintain meeting rooms, video-conferencing gear and AV equipment.
• Administer and oversee the local office Wi-Fi network and basic networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
• Give technical and audio-visual support during internal events, all-hands meetings and workshops.
• Provide basic administrative support across Windows, iOS and Android platforms.

Required profile

• Educational background or ongoing studies in Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent practical interest/experience.
• Fluent Czech, mandatory for daily in-person office and vendor communication.
• English at least at B2 level, written and spoken.
• Regular onsite availability, ideally Monday to Friday (4+ hours between 8:45 and 16:15), rotating with other team members according to a pre-agreed weekly calendar, with flexibility for ad-hoc help.
• Self-organisation, diligence, attention to detail and reliability.

Required skills

• Basic administration of Windows, iOS and Android.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of user hardware (laptops, mobile devices, multi-function printers, projectors).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Understanding of networking hardware and protocols (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi) is a definite advantage.
