Principal Cloud Architect – Google Cloud

About the role

Devoteam, a technology consulting firm specialising in cloud, data, cybersecurity and AI, is expanding its Cloud & Data team and is looking for a Principal Cloud Architect in Prague. The role leads the design of complex cloud architectures for enterprise clients across industries, acting as a trusted technical advisor who turns business requirements into Google Cloud solutions and mentors the team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end Google Cloud migrations and architectures
• Guide and mentor team members as subject matter expert and knowledge contributor to the global Google Cloud practice
• Manage client presentations and direct communication, bridging customers and delivery teams
• Lead presales activities, workshops and client presentations
• Create detailed architecture documentation and solution designs
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, availability and cost-optimisation requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering or cloud consulting
• Strong experience designing solutions on Google Cloud, AWS or Azure
• Experience leading enterprise workload migrations to public cloud and implementing DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure automation)
• Fluent English and strong presentation skills
• Nice to have: Google Professional Cloud Architect certification, multi-cloud and hybrid architecture experience, and hands-on experience leading large data warehouse and infrastructure migrations

Required skills

• Google Cloud, AWS or Azure
• Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred)
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or similar
• Cloud networking, VPC design, hybrid connectivity and security controls
