Payment Specialist

About the role

Novartis is hiring a Payment Specialist in Prague, Czech Republic, in a hybrid role. The specialist ensures accurate, timely and compliant payments and helps deliver a seamless end-to-end cash disbursement process, collaborating with colleagues to resolve payment challenges, strengthen controls and improve service delivery. Relocation support is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payment preparation and execution, aligned with Treasury requirements.
• Run multi-entity payment runs through SAP according to schedules, controls and guidelines.
• Resolve unpaid, returned and excluded payments promptly and prevent recurring issues.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to handle payment queries and exceptions.
• Maintain payment documentation and run internal controls for compliance and audit readiness.
• Monitor service levels and KPIs to improve payment quality.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of payment operations.

Required profile

• Experience with end-to-end payment processes, including preparation, execution, validation and issue resolution.
• Understanding of financial controls, compliance requirements and audit-ready documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset focused on automation and simplification.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP for payment processing and multi-entity payment runs.
• Financial accounting, reporting and financial management reporting.

• Base salary of 580,230 to 1,077,570 CZK, with a possible performance-based bonus.
