Project Engineer - Seat Wiring Harness (Electrical)

About the role

Lear Corporation, a global automotive technology leader in seating and e-systems, is looking for a Project Engineer to join its Electrical Engineering team at the Pilsen engineering center. The role supports the development of electrical seat systems for global automotive customers, covering wiring harness solutions from concept through serial production. It suits someone who combines technical problem solving with project coordination in an international automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the seat wiring harness from prototype through to series production
• Manage customer requirements from pre-series to start of production
• Own the project from customer assignment to the start of serial production
• Create a project plan, supervise compliance with deadlines and goals, and report to a superior
• Take part in preparing and updating technical documentation
• Design and implement solutions that meet customer and legislative requirements
• Analyze causes of defects and discrepancies, and help eliminate product deficiencies with the internal SME team
• Represent the Technical Center in Pilsen in communication with the customer, negotiating internally within Lear Corporation

Required profile

• At least high school education (electrical, mechanical or comparable)
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial project work, ideally in automotive
• Practical experience building electronic systems (soldering, crimping, harness preparation)
• Mandatory communicative English; German is a plus
• Creative technical thinking, independent and reliable, and able to travel regularly to plants and technical centers in the Czech Republic and Germany
