Quality Engineer – Electronics

About the role

As a Quality Engineer you will ensure the quality of Resideo's sensing and control solutions, ranging from PCB control boards to complete thermostats and heat‑pump controllers. You will work with electronic assemblies and finished products, applying data‑driven analysis to solve problems and improve product reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead root‑cause investigations, drive corrective and preventive actions, and implement 8D, FMEA and Control Plans.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues on electronic assembly and final‑product manufacturing lines.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through production release.
• Review schematics, drawings, specifications and manufacturing requirements to make data‑driven decisions.
• Drive scrap reduction and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) improvements through continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Education or practical experience in electronics, electronic engineering or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications and electronic documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Effective communication and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, supply‑chain and other functions.
• English language proficiency at B1 level or higher.

Required skills

• PCB schematic interpretation and electronic assembly knowledge.
• Experience with SMT/P&P, axial and radial assembly processes.
• Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC‑A‑610, IPC J‑STD‑001).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Use of quality tools such as 8D, FMEA and Control Plans.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
