Team Lead Data Analytics

About the role

Datamole is seeking a Team Lead for its Data Analytics team. You will guide a group of five analysts who build real‑time and batch production analytics for industrial, biotech, and transportation clients, using a modern Python data stack.

Key responsibilities

• Provide line management through regular 1:1s, coaching, shadowing, and career development.
• Conduct performance and compensation reviews that reflect impact and fairness.
• Foster a motivating culture that aligns with Datamole’s values and promotes retention.
• Hire, onboard, and integrate new analysts both technically and culturally.
• Maintain optimal staffing levels, ensure delivery quality, and meet client demand.
• Translate department goals from the VP of Data Analytics into clear team objectives and communicate team realities upward.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a technical team of similar size in a B2B environment, covering the full people‑leadership lifecycle.
• Solid technical background in modern data/analytics engineering (Python, SQL) with hands‑on experience in tools such as Polars, Databricks, or similar.
• Demonstrated ability to grow individual contributors into senior or specialized roles.
• Excellent coaching, communication, and negotiation skills, building authority through trust.
• Comfort with operational leadership tasks like performance reviews, capacity planning, reporting, and compliance.
• Business proficiency in Czech and English.
