A&PS Delivery Solution Architect

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a hybrid A&PS Delivery Solution Architect in Prague. The role is designed as hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent in an HPE office. It covers designing end-to-end solutions for virtualization, Linux, Kubernetes and cloud technologies, translating customer business needs into scalable and secure architecture, and mentoring team members.

Key responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions focused on virtualization, Linux, Kubernetes and cloud technologies.
• Translate customer business requirements into scalable and secure technical architecture.
• Lead solution design and give technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Work with project managers, consultants and customer stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical best practices, reusable architecture and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor team members and support their professional development.
• Write Statements of Work for medium to large business unit solutions and apply program/project management methods to plan, cost, resource and track projects.
• Manage regional medium to large projects with the project manager, including technical management of customer staff on implementation teams.
• Coach and mentor specialist-level architects locally, and build long-term strategic relationships with business unit leaders and CIOs, CTOs.

Required profile

• 8+ years of industry experience, bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Czech or Slovakian fluency is mandatory.
• Ability to lead a team of two or more consultants and to lead the architectural design, development, deployment and technical quality of medium to large IT solutions.
• Good customer influence and negotiation skills, and excellent speaking and writing skills.

Required skills

• Architecting: understanding customer business problems and designing appropriate IS solutions; familiarity with methodologies such as Zachman, TOGAF and ITSM.
• Virtualization platforms, including Linux, Kubernetes and other virtualization technologies.
• Ability to write Statements of Work and apply program/project management methods.
