Associate AFFERA Mapping Specialist CAS

About the role

Medtronic's Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) business, which recently acquired the AFFERA Mapping and Ablation System, is looking for an Associate AFFERA Therapy Account Consultant based in Prague. The role supports customers across the assigned territory and is remote/field-based, with regular hospital and customer engagement and travel for onsite clinical support, training and customer education.

Key responsibilities

• Develop expertise in cardiac electrophysiology and advanced mapping and ablation technologies.
• Support physicians and electrophysiology laboratory teams in clinical environments.
• Provide product support, customer training and procedural assistance to help drive adoption of the AFFERA system.
• Work alongside experienced clinical and commercial colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering obtained within the last 3 years, or due to be completed before the start date.
• Demonstrated interest in medical technology, electrophysiology, biomedical engineering or healthcare through academic projects, placements, internships or work experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel about 70% within the assigned territory.
• Eligibility to work in the Czech Republic and a valid driving licence.

Preferred qualifications

• Internship, placement year or practical experience in a medical device, healthcare, life sciences or clinical environment.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology, medical imaging or biomedical signal processing.
• Experience presenting technical information, training others or supporting customer-facing activities.
• Additional European languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and quick learning of new technologies.
