AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

Tsys is looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer to join its Applications System Development team within Global Payments Europe. You will design, deploy and maintain scalable, resilient AWS platforms with an automation-first mindset, helping shape the future of global commerce.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain scalable, resilient AWS platforms
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform, ensuring secure, reliable and reusable Infrastructure as Code
• Deploy and operate containerized applications on Amazon EKS (Kubernetes)
• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines, with DevSecOps practices such as automated security scanning, IAM governance and secrets management
• Improve platform reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, performance optimization and cloud cost management

Required profile

• Hands-on experience across core AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, SQS/SNS)
• Proven Terraform expertise, including modular architectures, workspace management, custom providers and CI/CD integration
• Experience running Kubernetes (EKS) environments, including Helm, ingress controllers, node groups, RBAC and scaling strategies
• CI/CD and automation experience, with pipelines in GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline, and Blue/Green or Canary deployments
• Scripting and systems administration skills in Python, Go or Bash, and Linux environments (Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, RHEL)
• Knowledge of configuration management, networking, security and observability (Ansible, Route 53, ALB/NLB, Security Groups, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Bonus: AWS certifications, ArgoCD, Istio, SRE principles (error budgets, SLIs/SLOs) and experience in cross-functional or distributed teams
