Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

Join PwC's Cloud Security Engineering team in Prague as a Cloud Security Engineer. You will design, implement, and support security solutions across multi‑cloud and on‑prem environments, helping to improve the security posture of a global platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test and deploy cloud security solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Lead medium‑sized projects and support larger initiatives that enhance security posture and operational processes.
• Perform day‑to‑day engineering tasks including scripting, troubleshooting, monitoring, and remediation.
• Translate business requirements into technical controls, architecture, documentation, runbooks and playbooks.
• Support monitoring, logging, alerting, incident triage and remediation activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and cross‑team collaboration.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in cloud security or security engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineering, operations and business stakeholders.
• At least one cloud security certification or progress toward one.

Required skills

• Azure, AWS, GCP
• Cloud security posture management tools such as Wiz or Prisma
• Python and PowerShell scripting
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) and secure networking concepts
• Vulnerability management and remediation workflows
• DevSecOps, CI/CD security, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, PCI)
