Data Engineer – AI & Data Team

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer who truly cares about data and wants to build robust data solutions for the pharmaceutical domain. You will join an AI & Data team that focuses on cutting‑edge AI, GenAI and drug‑development analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that move data from multiple sources into data lakes and warehouses.
• Implement data transformation rules and data models to support analytics and machine‑learning workflows.
• Collaborate with product analysts, data scientists and ML engineers to make data accessible and reliable.
• Ensure data quality, maintain data catalogs and use orchestration, logging and monitoring tools.
• Apply test‑driven development and version‑control best practices (Git).

Required profile

• Strong expertise with Databricks and AWS services (S3, IAM, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch).
• Hands‑on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and using orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and generative‑AI tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to document processes.
