Director of Technology & Engineering for Software and Workflows

About the role

Lead the organization that transforms emerging technologies and scientific ambition into AI‑enabled software that accelerates drug discovery. As Director of Technology & Engineering you will shape high‑quality software solutions across scientific workflows and laboratory processes.

Key responsibilities

• Set a compelling technical direction that links engineering priorities to scientific impact and corporate strategy.
• Build and coach high‑performing engineering, AI, and technical leadership teams.
• Champion responsible AI integration and modern engineering practices such as DevOps, CI/CD, test automation, and observability.
• Ensure solutions meet rigorous quality, performance, security, compliance and reliability standards.
• Collaborate across architecture, operations, security, compliance and enterprise technology to align decisions and actions.
• Own delivery of a broad portfolio of time‑bound software initiatives, managing scope, budget and timelines.

Required profile

• Proven senior technology leader with experience managing engineering managers and multidisciplinary software teams in a global matrix environment.
• Strong learning mindset, strategic agility and ability to simplify complexity.
• Track record delivering large‑scale SaaS, on‑premises and cloud‑based solutions with measurable scientific impact.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage senior leaders and translate technical complexity.
