General Auditor (f/m/d)

About the role
The General Auditor will support Deutsche Börse Group’s Internal Audit function by providing independent, risk‑based assurance and advisory services. You will help protect and sustain value for the board and management through systematic evaluation of risk management, control and governance processes.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and shape audit areas and conduct risk assessments for Deutsche Börse Group.
- Prepare and execute audits independently and participate in coordinated group audits.
- Identify deficiencies, propose pragmatic solutions and support the creation of audit reports.
- Communicate audit results to line management and follow up on recommendations.
- Provide audit‑related consultancy to line management and projects for implementing internal controls.
- Contribute to the development of audit methodology, risk‑based planning and process improvement.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of professional experience in internal or external audit, preferably within the EU banking sector, or operational experience in banking/financial services.
- University degree in business administration, economics, banking, law or a related field.
- Strong analytical, methodological and conceptual skills, especially regarding financial market or IT processes.
- Initiative‑driven, independent, goal‑oriented with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Fluent written and spoken English; German language skills are a plus.
Required skills
- CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) certification.
- CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance) certification.
