Group Financial Controller

About the role

Pragmatike is recruiting for a European deep‑tech AI and cloud company that is building a sovereign, energy‑efficient cloud platform. The Group Financial Controller will lead the design and scaling of an AI‑first accounting function across multiple legal entities, reporting directly to the CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual group close and consolidation processes for all entities.
• Deliver accurate management accounts, board and investor reporting while ensuring IFRS and local GAAP compliance.
• Define, document and enforce group accounting policies and internal controls.
• Lead the optimisation and scaling of NetSuite ERP across the group.
• Drive automation and AI adoption in accounting operations, including reconciliations, anomaly detection, journal automation and close acceleration.
• Manage audits, statutory filings, inter‑company accounting and transfer‑pricing processes.
• Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives, scaling efforts and financial governance.

Required profile

• 8‑12+ years of experience in accounting, financial control or senior finance roles.
• Proven experience in multi‑entity, international environments, preferably SaaS or deep‑tech.
• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP with solid consolidation expertise.
• Hands‑on experience implementing AI tools in accounting workflows (mandatory).
• Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, high‑growth settings with high ownership.
