Product Manager - Automotive Aftermarket

About the role

Schaeffler, a global technology company working with major car manufacturers and key players in aerospace and industry, is looking for a Product Manager in Prague. The role covers the management and development of designated product categories within the automotive aftermarket, from product portfolio to pricing, supply and sales support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop designated product categories in line with the overall strategy, and analyse the international market and competition to position the area.
• Manage the product portfolio, including new launches and phase-outs, and improve the cost structure of the product group with R&D, industrial engineering, plants and operations.
• Drive product changes from idea to implementation, and implement programme positioning: pricing, investment in tools, business cases, make-or-buy decisions, supplier strategies, inventory and supply planning, and marketing content across sales channels.
• Develop programmes and plans to drive business performance across the product lifecycle, and create new sales potential with the VLS Business Divisions and Units.
• Support VLS regions in reaching sales and revenue targets, and prepare business segment analyses with key figures, reports and presentations.

Required profile

• Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, marketing management or a comparable course.
• Several years of specific professional experience are an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket value chain, from product development to the customer.
• Fluent English, ability to define, prioritise and drive tasks independently, and entrepreneurial, goal-oriented thinking.
