Senior FRA Specialist (GL SPOC)

About the role

The Senior FRA Specialist (GL SPOC) at Novartis in Prague acts as the single point of contact for General Ledger activities, coordinating R2R processes, stakeholders and finance functions. The role owns the end-to-end process, reporting quality, compliance and timely delivery of financial outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Act as GL SPOC, coordinating R2R, FRA and cross-functional stakeholders
• Lead Balance Sheet Review preparation, including consolidation of commentary and analysis of key drivers and risks
• Review and challenge financial inputs for accuracy, completeness and compliance with reporting standards
• Coordinate month-end close activities for timely, high-quality GL outputs
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, LSI requirements and accounting policies, and support audit and compliance activities
• Act as key contact for significant transactions, aligning stakeholders and keeping information flowing
• Facilitate stakeholder communication, prepare meetings and documentation, and follow up on actions
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization in GL and R2R, including automation and digitalization support

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related business discipline
• Proven experience in financial accounting, reporting or record-to-report processes in a global organization
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and month-end closing
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and turn findings into actionable business insights
• Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders in an international environment, with attention to detail and accuracy
