Tenders Specialist – Air Freight

About the role

The Tenders Specialist – Air Freight is responsible for creating competitive, pricing‑driven bid offers for global air freight projects. You will analyse business requirements, manage internal stakeholders and work closely with opportunity owners to deliver high‑quality proposals on time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, organization and delivery of complex global logistics RFQs.
• Schedule and facilitate internal communication milestones such as kick‑off meetings and risk assessments.
• Define pricing instructions, rate structures and strategy for internal teams.
• Perform data sanity checks, resolve discrepancies, manage version control and ensure timely bid submission.
• Align customer requirements with organizational objectives by analysing rate data and integrating inputs from Finance, Legal, HR and Commercial.
• Present pricing models and bid strategies to senior leadership for final sign‑off.
• Track performance metrics, maintain pipeline reports and recommend process improvements.
• Train internal stakeholders on tender tools, resources and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics pricing, procurement, tender management or freight forwarding operations.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional, multicultural teams in project‑based environments.
• Fluent Business English; additional languages (German, French, Spanish) are a plus.
• Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations and global logistics.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex spreadsheet modelling and data analysis).
• Data analysis and interpretation.
• Proficiency with standard office software suites (Microsoft Office).
