Azure Platform Engineer (Permanent)

About the role

We’re seeking a hands‑on Azure Platform Engineer to build and operate a modern, cloud‑native platform supporting critical services within a global, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Azure infrastructure‑as‑code across multiple environments.
• Build and operate AKS clusters, networking, and shared platform services.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployment workflows.
• Implement monitoring, observability, alerting, and automated operations.
• Drive cost optimisation through autoscaling, right‑sizing and scale‑to‑zero strategies.
• Apply an AI‑first approach using agentic AI tooling to enhance delivery.
• Work in an iterative, board‑tracked environment (Azure DevOps or GitHub Projects).
• Participate in peer code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in Azure cloud/platform engineering in large organisations.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Good English language skills (mandatory).
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and platform design.
