Business Development Manager – Food, Feed & Cosmetics

About the role

Alchimica, a Czech family‑owned company active in chemicals, pharmaceuticals and food, seeks an experienced B2B sales professional to build and manage a customer portfolio in the Food, Feed or Cosmetics sectors. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing and developing long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new customers and develop your own portfolio while reactivating dormant accounts.
• Identify customer needs, propose suitable products, prepare proposals and negotiate pricing within your authority.
• Coordinate sampling, trials and convert opportunities into orders.
• Maintain relationships, grow repeat business and monitor market trends for new product opportunities.
• Manage the sales pipeline in CRM, produce realistic forecasts and collaborate with purchasing, sales support and compliance.
• Represent Alchimica at customer meetings and international trade shows.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales experience with a track record of acquiring and reactivating customers.
• Understanding of pricing, margin assessment and deal profitability.
• Ability to travel regularly across the Czech Republic and hold a valid Category B driving licence.
• English proficiency for business communication.
• Educational background in chemistry, food science or a related field is an advantage.
