Data Quality Consultant – German Projects

About the role

PwC's Czech team, mainly based in Prague, works closely with PwC Germany as a nearshore consulting team supporting transformation projects in the financial services sector. As a Data Quality Consultant you will design, implement and continuously improve data quality frameworks and processes across modern data platforms, working on transformational projects for clients in the financial sector, especially banks, insurance companies and investment firms in Germany. You will work closely with platform teams, data owners and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain data quality frameworks
• Define and implement data quality rules, checks and reports in data quality tools
• Integrate data quality capabilities into data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake and BigQuery
• Apply AI-based methods to optimise and automate data quality processes
• Embed data quality standards into daily operations with stakeholders
• Communicate data quality concepts, issues and results to business and technical audiences

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or a comparable field; interdisciplinary backgrounds are welcome
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in financial services, consulting, banking, payments, fintech or a related field
• German at B2-C1 and English at C1 level in a professional environment

Required skills

• Data quality management, including designing frameworks, rules and tooling
• Modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery or similar)
• Defining data quality rules, KPIs/metrics and quality reporting dashboards
• Advantage: hands-on experience applying AI/ML methods to data quality (anomaly detection, automated profiling, intelligent rule suggestion)
