Rust Backend Developer for Braiins Pool

About the role

You will join Braiins' core engineering team to design, build and evolve backend services that power Braiins Pool, Hashpower and the associated spot market. The position goes beyond coding in Rust – you will need to understand how service behavior, pricing logic and data flows influence market dynamics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Rust/Tokio micro‑services for pool and hashpower products.
• Implement gRPC/Protocol Buffers APIs, Kafka messaging, and PostgreSQL/SQLx data layers.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, frontend, QA, SRE and support teams to deliver reliable changes.
• Use data, logs, metrics and statistical reasoning to validate assumptions and assess impact of changes.
• Improve internal Rust libraries, service patterns, CI/CD pipelines and shared engineering practices.

Required profile

• Mid‑ to senior‑level experience in backend development, distributed systems or data‑intensive services.
• Strong engineering judgment about market impact, user incentives and operational risk.
• Ability to reason with data and metrics; experience with statistical analysis or experiments is a plus.
• Ownership mindset, good communication and willingness to collaborate across multiple teams.
• Interest in Bitcoin mining, pool operations and hashpower markets.
