AHU Technical Sales Support Engineer

About the role

Trane Technologies is hiring a Technical Sales Support Engineer for its AL-KO AHU (Air Handling Unit) business, based in Prague. The role is on-site, five days a week, and supports the sales engineers by selecting units, building offers and giving technical advice to designers and consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Draft quotations and commercial offers on time and communicate them to the AL-KO Sales Engineer.
• Use the AL-KO software to select units, build the offer and consult the factory's technical support if needed.
• Understand customer requests and propose new technical advice, keeping up with industry trends.
• Optimize and validate equipment selection (size, configuration, voltage, options) by reviewing plans, specifications, estimates and proposals.
• Evaluate possible cost savings and cost problems across projects.
• Support sales by developing preliminary and final submittals, holding job cost consensus meetings and releasing submittals.
• Prepare equipment for order entry, verify pricing, revise coordination worksheets and reconcile job costs.
• Suggest productivity improvements and support designers and consultants.
• Liaise with the AL-KO plant support team to optimize major costings, update technical sales support and accompany strategic customers.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in technical sales support for air handling units, with proven technical knowledge of AHU products.
• Team player, customer-oriented, with good communication skills.
• English language skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and/or temperature controls.
