Business Process Subject Matter Expert

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Business Process Subject Matter Expert to drive operational excellence across its European Logistics and Services network. You will standardize processes, improve system adoption and lead transformation initiatives, acting as the bridge between Operations, Product, Technology and Process Owners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead initiatives that improve productivity, quality, service performance and process compliance across the region, and identify and fix process inefficiencies.
• Drive digital transformation by promoting adoption of new systems, automation and digital tools, and partner with technology teams on user experience.
• Standardize regional processes and SOPs to global standards, reduce variation and spread best practices.
• Serve as the regional contact for process design, system enhancements and change requests, supporting testing, deployment and implementation.
• Facilitate collaboration between Operations, Commercial, Product, Finance and Technology teams and remove roadblocks.
• Promote Lean thinking, root-cause analysis and data-driven decisions, and share successful solutions across the network.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Proven experience in Operational Excellence, Process Excellence or Continuous Improvement roles.
• Strong knowledge of forwarding processes and hands-on experience with freight forwarding platforms such as CargoWise or similar.
• Experience leading transformation and change initiatives, and ability to turn operational challenges into scalable process improvements.
