Head of Demand Planning & S&OP

About the role

Rohlik, an online grocery delivery service, is building a new Group department for Integrated Business Planning (IBP) / Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP). Forecasting currently covers 12 fulfilment centres and 25,000 SKUs across five countries, and the role is to turn it into an automated, governed and scalable capability. As Head of Demand Planning & S&OP you will build the function from the ground up, own the Group demand forecast, set the global S&OP cadence, lead the team and work with BI, Product and Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Hire and develop the IBP/S&OP team and move from single-person routines to a documented, resilient team structure.
• Own the Group demand forecast end-to-end and deliver the daily operational forecast brief to the CEO.
• Establish the Group S&OP cycle and consolidate commercial, operational and financial commitments into a single constrained operating plan.
• Define planning responsibilities, KPI definitions, approval thresholds for manual adjustments and escalation rules across the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Romania.
• Act as business owner for custom planning products: mass uploads, automated locks, override logging and instant plan-change alerts.
• Partner at Director level with Marketing, Commercial, Supply, Fulfilment, Last Mile, Finance and BI, reconciling operational plans with financial outlooks.
• Drive plan attainment and forecast accuracy, targeting at least 98% on orders and orderlines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Demand Planning, S&OP, IBP or supply chain operational planning.
• Experience building or re-platforming a planning function from scratch, including team, processes and tools.
• Direct experience automating manual planning routines with BI, Data or Engineering teams.
• Ability to summarise complex, multi-market data for the CEO under tight deadlines.
• Track record running S&OP or demand reviews across multiple countries, sites or business units.
• Strong understanding of service, cost and cash trade-offs; hands-on approach balancing strategy with daily detail.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Czech, Slovak, German or Hungarian is an advantage.
• Preferred: background in online grocery, perishables or fast-moving, high-SKU retail, and experience as a product owner for internal planning tools.
