Head of Supply Chain

About the role

Vilgain is scaling rapidly across DTC, retail and B2B markets. As Head of Supply Chain you will own the end‑to‑end logistics, planning and procurement functions, ensuring the supply chain supports profitable growth and international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute supply chain strategy for new markets, including network design, fulfilment setup and carrier selection.
• Lead transformation projects such as automation, network redesign and market launches.
• Build processes, systems and teams capable of handling 5–10× current volume.
• Deliver world‑class warehouse and logistics performance in speed, accuracy, service level and cost per order.
• Establish data‑driven S&OP and demand‑planning capabilities.
• Improve inventory availability while reducing excess stock and capital tied up in inventory.
• Strengthen supplier negotiation and risk‑management practices.
• Hire, develop and inspire leadership teams across logistics, planning and procurement.

Required profile

• 10+ years in senior supply chain, logistics or operations roles.
• Proven experience leading logistics, planning and procurement functions, ideally all three.
• Background in FMCG, food, retail, manufacturing or high‑growth e‑commerce.
• Deep understanding of warehouse operations, transportation, demand planning, S&OP, procurement and inventory management.
• Strategic thinker who can also dive into operational details.
• Strong analytical and financial decision‑making skills, data‑driven approach.
• Comfortable in fast‑moving, high‑growth environments.
• Excellent communication in English and ability to challenge senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business or related field.
