Power Systems Proposal Engineer

About the role

ABB is looking for a Power Systems Proposal Engineer in Ostrava, working on the Marine & Ports division in Finland and reporting to the EUOPC Bid & proposal manager. The role supports the assigned sales organisation (division and market) and its customers throughout the proposal process, acting as a key technical resource each day. The work model is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical pre-sales support and product expertise to customers and sales teams.
• Answer technical questions and troubleshoot issues related to ABB Marine Systems products and solutions.
• Prepare technical quotations, specifications and solution proposals for customer projects.
• Work with engineering and project teams on product customisation and implementation.
• Keep up to date with the ABB Marine Systems product portfolio and industry standards.
• Document technical issues and help improve support processes.
• Support customer training sessions and provide technical documentation.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professional, responsive communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (minimum).
• 2+ years of experience in technical sales support or applications engineering.
• Strong technical/electrical background and a passion for technology.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Fluent English (B2 level and above).

Required skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
• Proficiency in navigating technical electrical documentation (a plus).
