Python Software Engineer – Risk Modelling Team

About the role

Join the Risk Modelling team at ČSOB (KBC Group) in Prague as a Python Software Engineer. You will develop and maintain production‑ready analytical systems that support risk measurement across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Python‑based components and analytical workflows.
• Ensure reliability and consistency of solutions across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Manage dependencies and environments using tools such as Conda or Mamba to guarantee reproducibility.
• Integrate solutions into CI/CD pipelines and follow modern development workflows.
• Apply software‑engineering best practices, including version control, testing and code‑quality standards.
• Collaborate with modelling teams and IT colleagues to bring analytical solutions into production.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards, tooling and engineering practices.

Required profile

• Background in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Solid Python programming skills.
• Familiarity with Git, unit testing and integration testing.
• Experience with dependency and environment management tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and fluent English communication.
