Sales Engineer - HVAC Rental Services

About the role

Trane Technologies is hiring a Sales Engineer for its HVAC rental services in the Czech Republic. The role focuses on building trusting customer relationships and growing temporary HVAC solutions, working mostly with customers but also collaborating with colleagues in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire, develop and close sales opportunities to grow emergency response rentals, cooling contingency plans and planned, seasonal and special event rentals.
• Identify potential rental opportunities with existing and new customers.
• Create and design accurate, timely technical solutions based on customers' temporary needs and specifications, using existing rental equipment.
• Develop rental quotes from initial request to proposal, including rental equipment quotes for complete turn-key solutions.
• Work with Rental Services teams to develop and coordinate vertical market strategies for temporary solutions in the assigned market.
• Coordinate shipments and returns to and from jobs with the Rental Services fulfillment team.
• Travel daily within the assigned district and periodically nationally to customer job sites, which may involve outdoor work and work in mechanical/equipment rooms, with exposure to variable weather, moving parts and heights.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Solid commercial experience, ideally in HVAC or rental equipment/services.
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months.
• Communicative English and native Czech.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and service agreements is a plus.
