Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Stora Enso is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Forest Data Services, Precision Forestry team in Ostrava. You will design, build, and maintain data and AI pipelines that support spatial and forestry data analysis for business decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure existing pipelines run reliably in production by monitoring, troubleshooting failures, and fixing data quality or integration issues.
• Create new data pipelines and processing solutions to meet evolving service requirements.
• Collaborate with the AI Technical Lead, another Data Engineer, and business stakeholders to improve pipeline performance and reliability.
• Continuously learn and adopt emerging technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Stack, Databricks, Snowflake and dbt is appreciated.
• Basic DevOps skills and ability to work in a hybrid office environment.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and a curiosity to learn new technologies.
